The ‘froggy five dart’ 1930s pattern cap in thick grey tweed with window pane check
This rather special, 5 darted single panel cap has taken us years to develop and is the result of working very closely with the hatters, Olney Headwear of Luton. I’ve had to sacrifice my beloved 1930s original cap for this project, where it’s been completely taken apart and had a pattern taken from it. The result is a reproduction cap that is true to the original model with the darts giving that elegant vintage shape and support at the sides and back where it needs it.
So this is the ‘froggy 5 dart’ cap in a thick grey tweed with window pane check
wirh curved peak and press stud fastening.
Crown measures just short of 11” across
It has 7 stitches running closely around headband to allow darts to taper out nicely above.
Fully lined and crosshatch quilted in light gold/brown satin with brown grosgrain sweatband.
